5. Take help from family and friends

To overcome the urge of smoking take help from your friends and family to keep a tab on it. They will be able to remind you that you need to quit and they can motivate you to control the urge. With a constant reminder and a strong support system you will be successful in curbing your urge to smoke.

6. Try quitting slowly

Set realistic goals to control your urge. If you smoke one pack in a day, buy only a couple of cigarettes. If you quit completely, it is not going to last for more than a day. Try to cut it down by reducing the number of cigarettes you smoke.
