After your wife has a baby, your married life is likely to turn upside down. You will have to make a lot of adjustments to accommodate your little one in your life. In this mayhem, knowing a few things about your wife as a new mom will make you better equipped to deal with you her and your child. Here are a few things that you should know as a new dad.

1. Your wife may be frustrated and irritable most of the time

Long nights, early mornings, erratic eating hours and an irregular routine are the things that you and your wife will experience after having a baby. Your wife may also have to carry out additional responsibilities to take care of the baby because of which she is likely to be at her wits’ end most of the time. The key here for new dads is to soothe the new mom down every time she appears cranky.

2. Your wife will need your support and help

Don’t expect your wife to be a new mom who knows how to do everything. If she has given birth to your first child, she is likely to be as clueless about rearing the child as much you are. As a new dad, you must support and help your wife at all time, whether she explicitly asks for it or not. You could do so by helping her look up the internet for solution to baby related problems or helping her to clean up after the baby.

3. Your wife still loves you

New dads may feel that all the attention of their wives have been diverted from them to the new baby. While that is true, it does not mean that your wife does not love you. She might be too exhausted to express her love for you because of running errands for the baby. What you should know about your wife as a new mom is that she may not be in the right state of mind to show you how much she loves you.
