So you are finally on a diet which you think will do you good, but out pops this article with a list of things that could ruin your fitness plans. Beware of the many so-called ‘healthy’ products available in the market today that may actually be harming your body in the long run.

1. Peanut butter

Even the light version of peanut butter is not as healthy as the company leads you to believe. They contain fewer amounts of natural fats, and are in fact made with the same kind of sugar that cake frosting is generally made with.

2. Diet soda

Sure diet sodas don’t have all that sugar which their regular counterpart do have, but it’s loaded with artificial sweetening agents and caffeine. These factors make the drink addictive and can cause high blood pressure.

3. Microwave popcorn

It’s better if you made popcorn on your own with natural corn kernels rather than using ready-made packets that come packed with high amounts of sodium and a chemical called diacetyl.

4. Frozen yogurt

Yes, frozen yogurt is a healthier option compared to ice creams, but it’s not so healthy that you make it a habit and have it more than twice a week. Most of the packaged ones have corn syrup in them that are equal to loads of sugar.
