5. Stay single for a while

You need not move from one bad relationship to another. Take a break. Be single for a while. This will give you some valuable time to be alone with your thoughts and de-clutter your mind. You will be able to see your priorities more clearly and hence be better prepared for the next relationship.

6. Learn from the past

We usually fail to make our lives better because we stop learning from our past mistakes. The same rule applies to being in unhealthy relationships. Before you say “Yes” to another girl, take your time and remind yourself of your experience of the previous relationship.

7. Be selfish

It is not bad to be selfish at times and put your interests first. Do not settle for someone who makes you feel bad about yourself and does not care about your feelings and well-being.

8. Talk to your buddies

If you think you are not strong enough and need that extra little push, talk to your friends about this. They will be able to tell you what is right for you and what is not. This will help you gain some perspective.
