While driving, the safety of yourself and others around you is the top priority, no matter how much of a hurry you may be in. Quite often we let ourselves go easy and end up with nearly missed death accidents. Thence we have listed down 8 tips that you should follow while driving.

1. Hire a driver after a party

If you and your buddies are going partying or clubbing, it’s wise to have a teetotaler friend around who can drive you all around or hire a driver for the night if no one wants to be sober. DUI (driving under the influence) is a serious crime for which you don’t want to get caught for sure.

2. Use public transport if you are going to drink

When going out for a drink or two, you never know when the drink glasses will pile up, especially if you happen to meet a really cute chick at the bar. Instead of inviting your own death, or killing animals and people on the road by driving while drunk, better travel by public transport like cabs, autos or buses.

3. Keep your cell aside on vibrate

Nothing is more important than your life. Whatever calls you want to make or messages you want to send, make sure you do them before getting in the car or after getting out of it. Keep your phone aside while driving and if you really feel the need to check up on someone who has been calling or texting you, pull over to a parking spot on the side and then do so.

4. Use the rear view mirrors frequently and carefully

While reversing and parking as well as while driving, be sure to keep checking out the rear view mirrors. See to it that you are moving in tandem with the other cars on the road and there are no animals, people or small children behind your vehicle while reversing. Don’t hesitate to ask people standing around to guide you with your parking and reversing.
