Being outgoing is a positive trait that people love to have, love to see on more people and something that employers prefer. It gives you an added advantage in sales and marketing jobs as you need to be in touch with a lot of people, meet new people every day and people make decisions based on your personality. Not only in work, but even in your personal life, it helps to be more outgoing as it will help attract a lot of attention from the opposite sex. Not all girls fall for the silent, broody type. The first thing someone looks for, especially in places like a bar or a party is how well you connect and how interesting you can hold a conversation. The way you act can sometimes completely eclipse the way you look. Most importantly being outgoing is in your head. It should come from within you. Here are a few tips to bring it out.

1. Be confident

When you are confident, it reflects on your body language and the way you speak. You walk like you own the world and you talk effortlessly. Be confident in yourself and you will automatically be outgoing.

2. Talk more

There are times when you don’t talk because you are shy or just because you do not want to exert yourself. As you talk more you become more at ease and learn how to handle people. It makes you relaxed and be more outgoing in the future.

3. Smile a lot

It never hurts to smile. Smile at perfect strangers, say hello or good morning. Some may treat you like some kind of freak, but mostly people will react positively to your smile and wish you in return and that really will boost your confidence levels.

4. Practice well

You are too shy to talk to people? Talk to yourself in front of the mirror. Practice and see when you look comfortable and good. Then try it on others. First with your family and then with your friends, later when you are really comfortable take it to strangers.
