Life is difficult at most parts, but one should always be happy for oneself and those who love and care for them. Here are 5 ways to be happy everyday.

1. Compliment yourself

Make this one a habit – when you wake up in the morning, look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a compliment. It could be something about your looks or personality or what so ever that comes to your mind. This may sound a little silly to you right now, but once you try it for yourself, you will realize the difference that it starts to make in your day to day living.

2. Learn to accept

Most people are unhappy for the sole reason of not being accept who they are or what they have. Learn to accept yourself for what you are and be happy for what you have. Remember that there are millions of people who cannot even afford the most basic necessities of life. To sum it up, always remind yourself of the saying, “I cried because I had no shoes, till I met the man who had no feet.”

3. Smile and compliment

Happiness spread is happiness received. You may start now with a fake smile, but soon it will become natural. When you smile, you spread happiness, which eventually comes back to you in some way you probably never expected. If you meet someone who you think is looking pretty or wearing a nice dress or anything that catches your eye, do compliment her. Even if the person is a complete stranger. Most often the person will respond with a smile or a thanks, and you will have a feeling of delight within you.
