5 Ways to Avoid a Hangover

4. Eat cucumber and other fruits while drinking

It does sound a bit strange to have fruits and cucumber at the table when you are drinking, but the fact is that these things help you prevent having a hangover after you are done drinking. They not only create a buffer between the alcohol and your stomach but also give your body the adequate hydration that it needs. So even if it sounds a looks a bit strange, make sure you can always get cucumber or even carrots as an accompaniment to your drinks.

5. Cheesy and buttery popcorn

Popcorn is also a good way to offset the effects of heavy drinking and feeling bad the next day. When you eat cheesy stuff or popcorn with a lot of butter, it absorbs the alcohol and you feel less drunk. When you feel less drunk, you also feel less hung over the next morning. It is not exactly a healthy option to put in too many calories, but it is always better to have a better head and stomach the next morning than worry about the calories you are putting in your body.

Hangovers are terrible, so instead of cribbing the whole day about the ill effects of heavy drinking, take these few precautions while you are drinking to prevent hangovers.
