We all need vacations to take a break from our monotonous everyday life. It is an extremely essential part of a healthy and happy lifestyle. Yet, this holiday planning could become extremely strenuous if you are short on budget. Or if you choose not to do any planning, you may return from your trip completely bankrupt. Anyways, if you want to have fun, that does not mean you should let go of all your hard earned money. Wouldn’t be so much fun then, right? So here are a few tips which will help you plan out a budget friendly overseas holiday.

1. Plan your tour

Yes, surely you could hire a cab in practically any country you travel to, and they will take you on a joy-ride to whichever place your heart desires. But how much is it worth? The better option is to get information about the local bus, train, or any other kind of public services that is available in that place. These are basically the medium of travel which the locals of that place use, and they are definitely cheaper. Additionally, you get to explore more on your own and you have more experience and stories to bring back home.

2. Avoid peak season

All kind of rates that are related to serving tourists shoot up really high during the peak season. Definitely, there are reasons for a particular time to be the peak season to visit the place, but the pyramids of Egypt or the Taj Mahal in India is still the same throughout the year. Make sensible decisions and your travel cost will be greatly reduced.

3. Do not get scammed

Locals just know it that you’re from outside. So don’t try to outsmart them by lying. They’ll outsmart you instead. Better choice is to go for services that are officially recognized. A cab driver may catch you at the airport and say that he’s going to take you to the best and cheapest hotel in town. Do not fall for such scams. Go straight to the tourism office and get a local map or guide book that is available. Then get all your initial queries clarified from them.
