5 Reasons Why the End of How I Met Your Mother has Disappointed Fans

There was a huge buzz surrounding the finale episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother. Many avid followers who watched the show for nine seasons waited for the last episode. But, what turned out instead was sheer disappointment. Listed are some reasons why the end of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ has disappointed fans.

1. It came to an abrupt end

According to the concept and story, the narration was based on Ted explaining his children how he met their mother. But, in the shocking finale, the mother was shown dead. Two minutes in to a dialog and mother was dead. This was surely the biggest disappointment for fans who watched the show for whole nine years. If that was the end, then it was surely not a worthy one.

2. It gave Robin and Barney’s story a weird twist

Most fans expected a happy end for Robin and Barney, but it was the other way round. In the earlier seasons, it was shown that Robin and Barney work towards their marriage to make it successful. But, in the final episode, they had their separate ways. The divorce was also shown in a painful way. For all the avid fans, that was surely a moment to cry. But, this was not expected of the story, which again left a grudge in the hearts of loyal viewers of the show.

3. It had too many flashback scenes

The finale was much anticipated for all the loyal fans. But, the flashback scenes in the finale were really annoying. Agreed, the makers tried to incorporate flashback scenes with the current time track. But, after every moment a flashback scene was way too much to watch. As a result, many fans also got irritated with all the scenes in the series. The stories in the scenes and all the characters required a logical end. In the finale episode, everything was way too fast to knowledge. This was surely a big disappointment for fans.
