Working in a small scale firm has a different kind work environment; it has its advantages and disadvantages. Here are 5 disadvantages of working in a small company.

1. You may not be able to enjoy the perks of working with a big firm

When you are working with a big firm, you get health insurance, financial benefits, and special discounts for employees and may be occasional chances to go on tours. This many not necessarily happen in a small company. Since it runs on a small scale, it cannot give its employee as many benefits.

2. Unsatisfactory salary

A small scale company would have a small business and less number of clients. They are not able to give their employees the salaries like the big companies do. Their increments are also less as compared to that of the big companies. So you need to be prepared for a very slow growth.

3. Extra work load and duties

A big company works very professionally and hires qualified employees for all positions and at all levels. A small company tries to hire people who would be able to multitask and handle various responsibilities. This way they would save money spent on hiring extra people. This way there would be more work load on the employees.
