It is definitely important to maintain pride and dignity, but not to such an extent that it comes across as arrogance. It is not ethical to display your superiority by offending others. You may be powerful but it is not acceptable to treat people under you in a wrong manner. Here are 5 dangers of arrogance.

1. Time can be merciless towards you too

You may be very successful and powerful today but you cannot predict what will happen to you tomorrow. If you are arrogant and don’t treat people well, they will do the same if ever you are in need of their help. Success shouldn’t make you so blind that you become overconfident and arrogant.

2. You will not earn real respect

In this world, you will find many successful and arrogant people who are given respect only for their position. This isn’t real respect; people who are powerful, yet very down to earth, are the ones who are always looked up to. These are the people who earn real respect by everyone.

3. You will have no one to trust and rely on

With your arrogance, you will never be able to have close friends or people who trust you and that you can trust. When you create a wall of arrogance around you, no one would actually be close to you, it will all be fake feelings from everyone. People will not trust you and you will never find trustworthy people.

4. You will drift away from reality

Arrogance will lead you away from reality and problems. You need to be aware that wrong things can happen to you as well, you should be aware of all possibilities. If you will be lost in arrogance, you will fall on your face, when problems come in your life.

5. You will have bad reputation and stagnant growth

People will surely bad mouth you and no one will praise you for behaving in an arrogant manner. You will surely get a taste of your own medicine when people more powerful than you treat you like this. You will not be able to progress ahead if you are arrogant.
